Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ Kinect features were poorly received by critics but The Chosen One may just have a second chance at making some motion-sensing magic with a new publisher and developer handling the Xbox-exclusive Harry Potter for Kinect.
With the publishing rights now in the hands of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and development being handled by Eurocom, Harry Potter for Kinect will take players through the entire series, starting from the Sorting Hat and finishing at the very last duel with He Who Must Not Be Named! While the game will feature casting spells with arm and hand gestures and recognizing spell names, it will also be able to scan a players’ face onto their in-game character to help personalize the playing experience.
The game is scheduled for release in Autumn of 2012.
